Ingredients for 2-3 people:
- 1 jar of Conservas Almanaque Natural Swiss Chard, 1st grade, 720 ml.
- 400 g of cooked chickpeas.
- 100 g of Iberian chorizo, sliced or diced.
- 1/2 onion.
- 2 garlic cloves.
- 1 teaspoon of sweet Spanish paprika (pimentón dulce).
- Extra virgin olive oil.
- Salt to taste.
- Freshly ground black pepper.
- Fresh parsley, chopped.
Method:
-
Drain the chard carefully and set aside a little of the liquid from the jar in case you need to add moisture to the dish.
-
Finely chop the onion and garlic.
-
Heat a splash of extra virgin olive oil in a large frying pan and gently fry the onion and garlic until golden.
-
Add the Iberian chorizo and sauté for a couple of minutes so it releases some of its flavour.
-
Add the sweet paprika and stir quickly so it does not burn.
-
Add the cooked chickpeas and mix well with the onion and garlic base.
-
Add the drained chard and cook everything together for a few minutes over a medium heat.
-
For a silkier texture, add a little of the reserved liquid from the jar.
-
Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper and finish with chopped fresh parsley on top.
Chef's tip:
For a more gourmet finish, drizzle the dish with raw extra virgin olive oil and add a few thin slices of Iberian chorizo just before serving.
